Deseret News Marathon - Join the Desert News Marathon on Pioneer Day for a marathon, half marathon, 10K, or 5K.  The last two miles of all of the races are along the parade route and the course is lined with people cheering on the racers. with tons of stores and museums for kids and adults!

Pioneer Day - Bring your family and enjoy a three-hour parade, fireworks, rodeo, midway games and amusement rides, musical performances, picnics, and parties that take place all over the Salt Lake City region. Two days before the parade, you can visit Heritage Park for an authentic glimpse of what pioneer life was like at a village of 40 original and replica homes and businesses with costumed interpreters. Some events are free, and some require tickets.

 

Summer Bobsled Experience – Experience the thrill of a lifetime in a bobsled on the 2002 Olympic Sliding Track. The Track was home to bobsled, skeleton and luge events during the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Games.

For the summer season, the bobsleds are modified to roll on the track’s concrete surface. One of our professional pilots takes up to three passengers per bobsled. Expect to reach speeds up to 60 mph, all in less than a minute!
