POLICY RESOLUTION ON DIVERSITY


WHEREAS, natural resources law has a direct effect on the welfare and livelihood of all peoples; and

WHEREAS, aspects of natural resources law have varying impacts on diverse groups of peoples; and

WHEREAS, different states, communities and cultures have developed diverse legal systems and customs that govern the use and management of natural resources;

WE RESOLVE: that the following policy statement shall be adopted and implemented by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation:

The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation values and encourages diversity among its members, Executive Committee, officers, trustees, committees and staff consistent with the objectives and purposes of the Foundation. “Diversity” means participation of women and men from different national, regional, cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds, of different ages, and with different skills, abilities and other unique haracteristics.
