AngloGold Ashanti has arranged a tour of the active surface gold mine it majority owns and operates in Cripple Creek, Colorado, on Saturday, May 17, as an optional extension to the Mining Law Short Course.   Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company operates the Cresson Project in the historic Cripple Creek Mining District, which has produced more than 23 million troy ounces of gold since 1890.  The mine is located about three hours from Boulder.  A very informative website is available at http://www.ccvgoldmining.com/.

The schedule, which is subject to change, follows:

         8:00am    Bus leaves Boulder

11:00am    Bus arrives in Cripple Creek

                        Lunch and mine overview

12:00-3:00pm    Mine Tour

  3:00-6:00pm   Bus returns to Boulder

Cost is $75 per person, and includes transportation, lunch, and snacks.  If you are interested in signing up, payment must be made by credit card by March 30.  We hope you can join us for this fascinating excursion.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
